Jewel Awards, Appointments to Regional Positions

JEWEL AWARDS

The results are finally in and our Region has won several Jewel Awards.

Congratulations to our chapters for a job well done.

The award program was designed to recognize well-performing groups and to provide a guide for leaders to improve theirs.   The criteria for the Jewel Awards were established to be as objective as possible.  Scores are tabulated from many different activities the group engages in such as programs like Culture Quest, Lapsed Member, and LDWs; the national events calendar for RGs, LDWs, and Mensa Cares; newsletter uploads for LocSec, RVC & member articles, calendars, meetings, and treasurer's reports.

REGIONAL POSITIONS

It has been a couple of busy months since I started as RVC, along with attending meetings and talking with members, I have appointed interested members to regional positions.  Below is the list of appointments.  I hope that you will extend a warm welcome to these volunteers!

I continue working to find more interested members who would like to serve in the regional arena.   I would like to find a Regional Gifted Youth Coordinator to oversee the Region 10 efforts for our gifted youth.  I also am looking for a graphic artist or webpage developer who would work with Dan Tobias on the look and feel of our websites.
